Ned Sheedy Joins TMB as New Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Ned Sheedy joins TMB as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) after spending the last four years with ICI Services Corporation. His responsibilities as COO will include overseeing the Division General Managers (DGMs), business development activities, and recruitment. He started at ICI in October 2017 as the Technical Director for the Systems Engineering Division coordinating program execution and business development efforts across Program Execution Office (PEO) Ships and PEO Unmanned and Small Combatants (USC). In July 2018, he was promoted to Vice President and DGM for the Systems Engineering Division leading a 120+ maritime professionals supporting the Navy. As a DGM, he led teams responsible for the performance of the company’s prime contracts supporting the LPD 17 Program Office (PMS 317); PEO USC; and Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWC PD) Damage Control, Recoverability and Chemical/Biological Defense Branch (Code 336). Previously, Ned spent nearly 18 years at Alion Science and Technology, where he rose to Assistant Vice President and Division Manager leading the Assault Craft Division. At Alion, he also served as Task Lead to a 100-person LCAC/LCU Support team for PMS 377; Program Manager for support to PMS 385, the Strategic and Theater Sealift Program Office; and Deputy Program Manager for PMS 501, the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Program Office. During his tenure at Alion, he supported numerous other shipbuilding programs, including DDG 1000, Cruiser Conversion, JHSV, MLP, LPD 17 and the Ship to Shore Connector.
